Does anyone have or know of where I can get samples of portfolios? I am new and it would be good to show my students what a portfolio looks like-good and bad. Also it would be great to show my assessors what to look for and have examples.
Thanks Melissa Jacot
If you are using the new Portfolio Rubric, this is the first year for everyone. MaryJo Kohl had a packet of example entries from the previous rubric. Although these are somewhat different in content, it might give your students an example of what the entries look like with an evidence page.
HI-
So I am new at this and I got out the rubric and I am looking at section one particulary 1.1 and 1.2? What type of evidence do you need for these? They look kinda hard to explain or do! Thanks to anyone that has some ideas. ( I not doing portfolios this year, I was starting to work on next year so it at least looked like I knew what I was doing).
Students produce some of the evidence through transcripts, report cards, maybe a PPT guidelines for use of technology- issues and appropriate use. I have my students create an informational flyer on determining the credibility of websites that they could 'hypothetically" provide their students and/or parents.
For 1.1-resumes. ACT scores, college acceptance letter, progress or report cards, transcripts, awards or certificates.
1.2-email log or print out, school network agreement, computer generated handouts, Powerpoint, Publisher projects, web site analysis
Does anyone out there have an electronic copy of the reference guide for 2010? I find this very helpful!
What is a electronice reference guide and how can I get one?
I would also like to get some examples of a portfolio. I know we are using the new rubric, but even if I could get some examples of the old one to show my students that would be great. I asked Mary Jo, but she said she didn't have any.
